We all experience pain for a reason but on many occasions it is a warning for us to discontinue something we are doing. Pain can come from any type of injury, illness or condition but it is then our job to locate where the pain is originating from to stop it. Unfortunately, all too often, the back pain does not vanish even when the cause has been successfully treated.
People in this situation are said to be suffering with ‘chronic pain’ which is a persistent feeling, the type that exists with back pain for example and unlike those of ‘acute pain’ which is intense but can be treated. Although an extremely common condition, chronic pain has no cure and there is no way to prevent a situation occurring where chronic pain will not happen. Chronic pain often long outlives its original cause, worsening over time and taking on a life of its own and the longer chronic pain goes untreated, the worse it becomes.
The most popular treatment for chronic pain are prescription medications, but these often have adverse side effects ranging from nausea to fatigue, and can cease to be effective once a patient builds a tolerance; many people are now looking towards natural pain relief methods. One such natural pain relief method is the use of acupuncture, a treatment that has origins many thousands of years old. Originating in China, acupuncture involves piercing the skin with thin needles on specific points of the body.
Patients with conditions like severe back pain, migraines and arthritis claim it makes their condition much more bearable and relieves pain more than any conventional treatment they have used. For others, they have found that herbal remedies work well for them as natural pain relief because they do not show any indication of side effects common with prescription medication. One example is vitamin E which is a natural pain relief treatment for people suffering with painful scarring.
Some people do not like using these herbal remedies, not because they do not provide enough relief but because they take longer to work; the plus side is that nothing synthetic is entering the system that can harm it. The best way to avoid the need for any type of natural pain relief is to look after your health and avoid substances that create problems like processed foods, foods with high salt and fat content, and eat more fruit and vegetables. Also Sleep is essential to good health just as much as regular exercise is, even if it is only walking every day and using stairs rather than the elevator.

Although we don’t like pain, there is a good reason for it as it is the body’s way of telling us that something is wrong and to stop us from making a situation worse. Anything can trigger pain from a headache to a broken bone but the pain gives us an indication of where and what the problem is. Sometimes, however, pain isn’t dealt with so easily and it remains with us despite all efforts to banish it. Panic attacks themselves are a malfunction of natures fight or flight response. A panic attack includes a sudden overwhelming surge of fear that comes with out any real warning or obvious reason.
People in this situation are said to be suffering with ‘chronic pain’ which is a persistent feeling, the type that exists with back pain for example and unlike those of ‘acute pain’ which is intense but can be treated. Untold millions of people suffer from chronic pain and despite medicines best efforts there is no way currently to eliminate or prevent the cause of it. Chronic pain often long outlives its original cause, worsening over time and taking on a life of its own and the longer chronic pain goes untreated, the worse it becomes.
Unfortunately, prescription medication, which is the normal way to deal with the pain, can become ineffective over prolonged periods requiring higher doses and the chance of dangerous side effects increase; now people are turning to wards more natural pain relief methods. Acupuncture has been used as a form of natural pain relief and cure for many chronic conditions for over two thousand years. One natural pain relief treatment that has been used for many thousands of years is acupuncture. Originating in China, acupuncture involves piercing the skin with thin needles on specific points of the body.
Anyone that has used acupuncture will say how effective it is and those that use it are generally suffering from chronic pain like that caused by arthritis, back pain and migraines for example. Other alternative therapies are used to provide natural pain relief like herbal remedies which can also make claim to being side effect free. Herbal remedies as are often used for natural pain relief in combination and people suffering with arthritis find that Emu oil is very useful for their condition.
The downside of herbal treatments used is they often take longer to achieve noticeable results; the upside is that you aren’t introducing man-made foreign compounds into your body, and run less risk of side effects or damaging your overall health. Although it may sound like well-worn advice, perhaps the best advice is to avoid the need for natural pain relief is to take care of yourself by getting proper nutrition and eating fewer processed foods but increasing fruit, vegetable, and whole grain consumption. People often underestimate the need for proper sleep and disregard any advice on regular exercise like walking and refraining from using the elevator to use the stairs, both of which are good for the heart.
